Sammy Wright was born in Melbourne, Australia and from a young age developed a passion for performing and music. Sammy was accepted into the Ballarat Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA), where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. He has also studied TV/Film courses at The New York Film Academy (NYFA), National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Screen Acting School (SAS) and completed a masterclass with Christian Kaplan (Fox studios VP). Sammy's introduction to the TV & Film world began on the Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks HBO mini series "The Pacific", for which he was cast in a featured role. After experiencing the famous Captain Dale Dye physical boot camp training, the production was shot in Australia. It has received multiple Awards, including an Emmy for Most Outstanding Mini-Series (2010). This was to be a life changing experience for Sammy and increased his passion for his craft. He has now worked on a number of Feature Films and Television productions as an Actor, but also a Military Adviser including Award winning productions of: "Beneath Hill 60", "Kokoda (ABC)", "For Valour (History Channel)" and most recently on Roland Joffe's (multiple Academy Award nominee) production of "Singularity".
